- This episode was made on a whim by Syp The Mighty after a six-year hiatus from stop-motion animating. As such, it was not considered connected to Misguided during its production.
- Tahu retains his portrayal from Tahu Meets Hero Factory! 2: Tail of Two Kitties, the eighteenth episode of The Shadowplayer Show, rather than his higher-pitched appearance from Misguided.
- Unlike Misguided, this episode introduces the island of Mata Nui from BIONICLE as its main setting. Additionally, Vakama from BIONICLE appears.
