- He is based on the BIONICLE character of the same name.
- He is one of the few characters to retain the same voice actor in every appearance, always being voiced by iDs5621. This would inspire iDs5621's casting as the character in CallanLoF's stop-motion series MATA.
- Onua is depicted as degenerative and obnoxious in Misguided compared to his more reserved and calmer personality in Misguided Toa. This was due to his personality being based on Ganon's from Mocha Loca, rather than his actual BIONICLE counterpart.
- He can be seen attending Shadowplayer's house party in Mocha Loca.
