- He is based on the BIONICLE character of the same name.
- He was voiced by Syp The Mighty in Toa in Quarantine, with Syp stepping down as she felt Aagerds better fit the character.
- A character very similar in appearance to Lewa appears in the second episode of Misguided, named Loowah.
- While Toa in Quarantine used his official set design, he was given a slight redesign for The Brick Tahu Saga.
- A version of him appears in Toaster Bandit, an episode of The Shadowplayer Show not considered canonical to Misguided Toa.
