- He is based on the BIONICLE character of the same name.
 - He was voiced by Syp The Mighty in Toaster Bandit and Toa in Quarantine, with Syp stepping down as she felt Aagerds better fit the character.
 - A character very similar in appearance to Lewa appears in the second episode of Misguided, named Loowah.
 - While Toa in Quarantine used his official 2001 set design, he was given a slight redesign for Toa in The Brick Tahu Saga.
